Pre-purchase examinations or health checks are carried out prior to the purchase of a new horse or pony. The purpose is to identify any medical problem or unsoundness the horse may have. Performance horse pre-purchase examinations may include ultrasound, endoscopy, x-rays of a particular joint/s and dental examination.
Examinations are done adhering to the Equine Veterinarians Australia Guidelines, which can include up to a 5 stage examination. You will be provided with a hard copy report of the pre-purchase examination.
